“Class 1″ Grand Prix Event

 

The Auckland Chess Centre Weekender is a seven round Swiss open tournament.

Time control: All moves in 60 minutes for the whole game plus an increment of 10 seconds per move from move one.

Entry Details:

  • All NZ players must be NZCF registered players. Unregistered NZ players can complete registration at the tournament ($20).
  • Overseas players will be recognized as registered in their own country and are eligible to enter the tournament.
  • Entry fee for Open Tournament: $45. No junior fee for Open Tournament.
  • Cheques payable to the Auckland Chess Club.
  • Mail entries to ACC Weekender, C/- M Steadman, 2/3 Rogan St, Hillsborough, Auckland.
  • All mail entries must be received by 4 March 2011.
  • No entries will be accepted after 9am 5 March 2011. There will be someone at the venue to accept last minute entries from 8:30am – 9am

Notes:

  • No Smoking will be permitted within the club rooms.
  • Spectators are welcome.
  • Live games. There may be up to 5 boards displaying games live online. As this is used for training purposes, there are no assurances given on quality of this experience.
  • All mobile phones (and noise emitting devices) are to be turned off during play. Immediate default for players.
  • Coffee & Tea are available to all players.
  • There are a variety of eateries within walking distance of the Chess Centre for meals. They suit all budgets (budget to fine dining).
